1.Noun คำที่ใช้เรียกแทน ชื่อ คน สัตว์ 

สิ่งของ อารมณ์  ความคิด

    

          คำนามมี นามทั่วไป กับ นามเฉพาะ  

          

          ตำแหน่งและหน้าที่: เป็นได้ทั้งประธานและกรรม ในประโยค

คน – เช่น ชื่อคน Louis, James, Peter, David , ไอ้แดง, ไอ้ดำ 

สัตว์ – เช่น elephant , dog , bird, penguin

สิ่งของ – เช่น boat, house , car , computer , book

สถานที่ – เช่น hospital , restaurant , police station, school, train station

ความรู้สึก – เช่น love , loyalty , success , friendship 

ความคิด - เช่น Freedom
